Aaron Piersol is one of the worlds greatest backstroke technicians. Aron Piersol qualified for his first Olympics at the startling age of seventeen where he positioned second in the US Olympic trials. He went on to the 2000 Sydney Olympic games where he managed to grab fourth place! In the 2002 FINA World Championships (25m) he went on to break his first world record in the 200m backstroke, he has gone on to improve his world marks throughout his career. He currently holds world records in the 100m and 200m backstroke, and the 4X100m medley relay. This great swimmer has announced his retirement and states,"I have achieved all that I have set out to achieve." He is a swimmer that will be missed in the pool for his phenomenal swims.
I personally enjoyed his swimming and tried to learn from his success. More will be discussed on this great swimmer in the near future.
